Preble Amateur Radio Association is a general interest club located in west central Ohio. Established around 1978. Several of the founding members are still active nearly 50 years later.

We are active in Skywarn and operate the 145.470 -0.600 100hz PL repeater in the Eaton, Ohio area.

The club participates in several public service events during the year. Bike rides, antique car runs, and the Preble County Pork Festival are just some of these activities.

We maintain a club – emergency communications station at the county EMA office and participate in several annual exercises.

In the last couple years we have increased our contest activity beyond Field Day. You will hear K8YR during ARRL Sweepstakes,10 meter contest, CQ worldwide WPX, and the Ohio QSO Party. Maybe more.
